Downloading and Printing Your QR Code

Updated 2026-04Essential reading

How to download your QR code

From the passport detail page, find the GS1 Digital Link QR Code card in the right column. Click Download QR Code PNG to save a high-resolution PNG file.

The file is named using your passport number: PP-2026-XXXXXX_qr.png.

QR code format

Your QR code encodes the full GS1 Digital Link URL:

QR code URL structure

https://dppcloud.co.uk/01/{gtin}/21/{passport_number}
Example: https://dppcloud.co.uk/01/09501234500003/21/PP-2026-9SC8GW

For reliable scanning at customs and loading docks:

  • Minimum size: 20mm ร— 20mm (ISO/IEC 18004 minimum for DPP applications)
  • Quiet zone: At least 4 modules (white border) around the QR code
  • Contrast: Black on white โ€” do not print on coloured backgrounds
  • Durability: For outdoor/industrial use, the label substrate must survive the battery's expected lifecycle

Placement on the battery label

The EU Battery Regulation requires the QR code to be clearly visible and accessible without disassembling the battery. Best practice:

  • Label the outer casing, not internal components
  • Ensure the QR is not obscured by cables, connectors, or mounting hardware
  • For large format batteries, include the QR on at least two sides
๐Ÿ’กTest the QR code before printing labels at scale

Scan the downloaded PNG with your phone before placing a large label print order. Confirm it opens the correct public viewer showing your product name and Active status.

Demo watermark

Demo account QR codes display a "DEMO" watermark. This is removed when you subscribe to a paid plan.
